About Degree Misunderstood
Degree Misunderstood helps students explore university degrees, understand their modules, and learn what to expect before choosing what to study.

Meet the founder
Sandra Omondi
Founder of Degree Misunderstood
Sandra founded Degree Misunderstood after experiencing firsthand the challenges of choosing a university degree without fully understanding what it entails.
Through this platform, she hopes to help prospective students make more informed decisions by providing insights into degree programmes, modules, student experiences and potential career paths.

A degree is more than its name.
Degree titles and prospectuses can only tell part of the story. We bring programme information, module guides and student perspectives together to help you ask better questions before choosing what to study.
The student-led Millennium Fellowship pilot begins with the University of Pretoria and will grow as information is checked and content is ready.

Degree Misunderstood is an independent project, not an official university website. Use the official links in each guide to check current requirements and programme information.
Looking ahead
More degrees. More understanding.
We aim to help learners explore more universities and degrees, adding information as it is reviewed and ready.
